CONDITIONS OF SALE

British Trimmings (trading as BTCTrim) supply goods according to our conditions of sale, of which a copy

is sent to all customers upon account opening. This information also appears on all invoices and we

particularly draw your attention to the fact that we do not accept terms of purchase that conflict with our

conditions of sale. Full details relating to the terms and conditions of all sub headings below can be

found in the Conditions of Sale, please retain a copy for future reference.

PRODUCT VARIATIONS

Many of our products are handcrafted, due to this fact, the measurements quoted are approximate

and colours may vary between products. Every effort is made to keep these variations within reasonable

tolerances. Where precise measurements and color shades are essential, please discuss this with your

sales representative.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

All customer orders are inspected at point of manufacture and then randomly inspected upon

delivery and shipping to the customer. Every effort is made to ensure that the product delivered to the

customer is the correct specification ordered. Please contact customer services if you have any issues

with the quality of product or accuracy of delivery.

SAMPLE FOLDERS

A selection of sample folders containing material samples of each of the styles and the colours they

are available in can be purchased and are invaluable selling aids. The relevant codes for each collection

can be found in the 'at a glance' section of each collection. Personalised sample folders can be

manufactured subject to minimum order quantities

SAMPLING

Limited trimming samples (10cm) will be made available, however samples of tiebacks and tassels

cannot be provided.

CUT LENGTHS

BTC Trim will provide a cut length service across all collections to its wholesale partners. Orders are

subject to a minimum quantity of 2m of trim and 1 unit of accessories. The minimum nett order value

is £15/€18 and all orders are subject to a lead time of 5 working days. All orders will be shipped at cost

(quotations provided when ordering), alternatively orders can be supplied ex works Stockport.

SPECIAL ORDER MINIMUMS

Product can be designed and manufactured according to your style and colour requirements

however these orders are subject to minimum order quantities and lead times.
The minimum order value for special orders must reach £250 nett of discount

CREDIT ACCOUNTS

Credit accounts are available to customers meeting BTC Trim’s operating criteria and following provision

of a satisfactory credit check. Please contact the Finance Department to receive a copy of the

domestic or international credit account application form.

PAYMENT TERMS

All credit account orders are subject to BTC Trim’s standard payment terms and shall be payable

within 30 days, nett monthly. Any deviation from these standard terms must be agreed in writing by a

Director of the company.

PRICING

All prices and terms are subject to change without notice. Orders will be invoiced at the prices in effect

on the date the order is received.

DELIVERY

Items in stock are subject to a processing and pick lead time of 5 working days prior to despatch.

Delivery lead times for out of stock items will be advised by customer services.

The order processing and carriage charges for stock deliveries are FREE for all orders over £100.
Charges for orders under £100 will be £10.

All order values quoted are nett of discount and for delivery within the UK.

All export orders are priced ex works Stockport, UK.

RETURNS & CANCELLATIONS  

We will accept returns from customers by prior agreement only. Please request a copy of the

Customer Returns Procedure for full details. Cancellation of customer orders will only be

accepted by prior agreement with BTC Trim.

WASH/CARE ADVICE

Trimmings and accessories are of a delicate structure and in general they should not be laundered,

dry cleaned or immersed in water, however many tiebacks, tassels and fringes may benefit from a

light steam treatment to restore their fullness after unpacking. Certain trimmings may be suitable

for dry cleaning, please consult your dry cleaning professional for further advice.
